1st ISPRS SC Virtual Symposium 2026 – Call for Abstracts
The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Student Consortium (SC) is pleased to announce the 1st ISPRS SC Virtual Symposium 2026, the inaugural virtual symposium dedicated to Students of ISPRS SC Student Chapters.

Under the theme “Empowering the Next Generation of Geospatial Professionals”, the symposium aims to provide an international platform for students, researchers, and early-career professionals to present their research, exchange ideas, and strengthen collaboration across the global geospatial community.
The event welcomes contributions related to photogrammetry, remote sensing, spatial information science, geodesy, surveying, cartography, environmental monitoring, Earth sciences, engineering applications, and other related disciplines within the scientific scope of ISPRS.
Participation in the symposium is free of charge, and accepted abstracts will be published online in our Official Newsletter.

- Abstract Submission Deadline: 26 May 2026
- Acceptance Notification: 2 June 2026
- Registration Deadline: 10 June 2026
- Symposium Date: 15 June 2026
The symposium will also serve as a valuable opportunity for students preparing for upcoming ISPRS congresses and scientific presentations.

Students of student Chapters are encouraged to indicate their topic preferences or areas of interest based on expected participation. Add name of your student chapters after your name [e.g. Laxmi Thapa - ISPRS SC........ student chapters].

Participation in the symposium is free of charge.
Submission Guidelines
Format
Submissions must:

Follow the official ISPRS template

Be submitted as an abstract with references (maximum 2 pages)

3–5 keywords
Submission Platform
All abstracts must be submitted electronically via EasyChair.
EasyChair Submission Process

Select “Make a Submission.”

Enter the required author information, title, and abstract details.

Upload the abstract in PDF format following the submission guidelines.

Complete the process by clicking “Submit.”
Publication
Authors will be notified of the review outcome via email. The accepted abstract will be published in the upcoming issue of the newsletter. At least one listed author must present the accepted work during the symposium.
