The ISC Early And Mid-Career Researchers (EMCR) Forum virtual meeting in April will be focused on a discussion around the latest working paper from the ISC Centre for Science Futures on Global Strategies for Accelerating AI in Science and Research: “Preparing National Research Ecosystems for AI: Strategies and Progress in 2024”.

Digital Twins Workshop, 28 March 2024

This workshop on 'Digital Twins: 3D Spatial Challenges and Opportunities' aims to discuss what 3D spatial technology has been used to build, visualize, and perform analyses or simulations in Spatial Digital Twins. Several presentations will report on Digital Twins for distinct applications. Researchers from Europe and Australia will get together to share lessons learned and elaborate on innovative solutions.

ISPRS Technical Commission IV Symposium 2024: Spatial Information to Empower the Metaverse

The ISPRS Technical Commission IV 'Spatial Information Sciences has the mission to advance spatial information science, enable spatial digital twins and empower their development to a metaverse.The ISPRS Technical Commission IV Symposium provides a forum where researchers and practitioners can come together and share their work and ideas, discuss opportunities and challenges, exchange developments or software tools and discuss future directions. The symposium will be organised from October 22 - 25, 2024 at Fremantle, Perth, Australia jointly with UPINLBS 2024, which is an international conference series technically sponsored by the ISPRS addressing the topics of ubiquitous positioning, indoor navigation and location-based service.

ISPRS Technical Commission V (TC V) Symposium : Insight to Foresight via Geospatial Technologies

The Philippines will host the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Technical Commission V (TC V) Symposium with the theme, "Insight to Foresight via Geospatial Technologies," from 06 to 08 August 2024 in Manila, Philippines. It will be a three-day event featuring plenary and parallel sessions, exhibits, poster presentations, and business meetings, aims to inspire new methods of teaching/learning, collaboration, and promotion of accessible and easy-to-use geospatial data among engage professionals, educators, and tertiary students.

ISPRS TC I Mid-term Symposium on Intelligent Sensing and Remote Sensing Application

The 2024 Symposium of the ISPRS TC I will be held in Changsha, China from May 13 to 17, 2024, with the theme of Intelligent Sensing and Remote Sensing Application. Centering around the research areas of the TC I and its subordinate working groups, the Symposium includes plenary session, technical sessions, paper posters, technology exhibition, and technical visits. The contest on intelligent interpretation for multi-modal remote sensing application and tutorial will be held concurrently.

ISPRS Technical Commission II Symposium : Photogrammetry

Announcement

ISPRS Technical Commission II "Photogrammetry" focuses, at various scales, on geometric, radiometric, and multi-temporal aspects of the image- and range-based 3D surveying, mapping, and modeling in the age of Artificial Intelligence and Mixed Reality. We welcome researchers, practitioners, and companies in photogrammetry and computer vision to present and discuss their results with a broader audience. The Symposium will feature four days from June 11-14, 2024 at Las Vegas, Nevada featuring plenary, keynote talks, and parallel sessions of oral and poster presentations from academia and industry.

Announcement

Social media is widely used for information dissemination and interaction, deeply influencing our society. To better use various social media channels, ISPRS is pleased to announce that it has appointed Sunni Kushwaha to the new position of social media manager. Sunni was born in Visakhapatnam in India. Currently, he is finishing his PhD in urban and forestry applications of close-range lidar and photogrammetry from the Geomatics Group, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. In his new position, Sunni’s focus is growing the awareness of and interest in ISPRS through posting on the Facebook, LinkedIn, WeChat and X platforms.
