Opening Remarks: Dr LAURENT POLIDORI, President-ISPRS TC III
Title 1: Multi and hyperspectral remote sensing applications for water Resources in the frame of SDGs 2030.
Speaker 1: Dr Anabella Ferral
Speaker Bio: Anabella Ferral received her PhD in Chemistry and her MSc. in Space Applications from the National University of Córdoba (UNC), Argentina. She was the Head of the Master’s Degree in Spatial Information Applications at the Gulich Institute from 2015 to 2020. Currently, she works at the Gulich Institute as a Titular Professor in environmental remote sensing courses and as an Adjoint Researcher of the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research of Argentina (CONICET). Her research focuses on remote sensing of water resources’ environmental quality indicators within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She has over 50 refereed publications in this area, is an Associate Editor of the Geoscience and Remote Sensing Magazine published by IEEE-GRSS, and is an Early Career member of
GEOAQUAWATCH. She was selected as IEEE-GRSS DL for the 2025-2026 period.
Title 2: Entrepreneurship in Geospatial Technologies
Speaker 2: Dr Muralikrishna Iyyanki
Speaker Bio: Dr Muralikrishna Iyyanki is a distinguished academician and researcher with a Ph D from the Indian Institute of Science and was a former Professor in Geospatial Technology and Director R&D at JNTech Univ, Hyderabad, India. Currently, he is an Independent Researcher, Entrepreneur, President of ISpace and Geospatial Project consultant & Chairman, ISPRS WG on Geospatial Environment and Health Analytics. He was Adjunct Faculty at the Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. He was a former Dr Raja Ramanna Distinguished DRDO Fellow, Govt of India. Dr Iyyanki has carried out Research and guided PhD scholars in the areas of Geospatial applications and data analytics, Geospatial Health Data management systems, Digital image processing, Hyperspectral Remote Sensing,, etc. He is also a Senior Advisor, UC Berkeley /Haas Institute for Business Innovation. www.linkedin.com/in/iyyanki-v-muralikrishna.
