ISPRS SC China - BUCEA Student Chapter
ISPRS SC China-BUCEA Student Chapter was established in 2024 under the grant of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Student Consortium. Hosted by Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA), the chapter is led by students from the School of Geomatics and Urban Spatial Information, with dedicated advisory support from the department’s faculty.
As an integral part of the ISPRS Student Consortium, this chapter is dedicated to fostering academic exchange, professional development, and collaborative opportunities among young scholars in photogrammetry, remote sensing, and spatial information sciences. By organizing diverse activities, the chapter aims to strengthen communication and knowledge-sharing across Beijing, and in neighboring regions. It promotes interdisciplinary research and innovation while providing access to international resources that enhance members’ global perspectives and professional networks.

Our club is like a “creativity factory”—every event is a collision of imagination! The tech geniuses wield remote sensing data and algorithms, breaking down every detail of the urban environment with pinpoint accuracy. Meanwhile, our photography enthusiasts capture the stories behind these changes, bringing the data to life. Every remote sensing analysis is not just a cold number, but a work of art with warmth and
character.
And Our logo stays true to the ISPRS SC design, showcasing the mission of global remote sensing technology and academic exchange. By incorporating the unique purple of BUCEA, it’s not just about honoring our alma mater; it’s about looking to the future—exploring the unknown and growing together!
We also host a GEOSTART Sharing Salon, where members get to showcase their “cutting-edge” tech, bounce around “wild”; creative ideas, and present their “spot-on” research findings—all while having a blast!
