The ISPRS SC Bangladesh Dhaka University Student Chapter is a vibrant, student-driven organization dedicated to fostering academic excellence and professional growth in photogrammetry and remote sensing. As an official chapter of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing, we bridge the gap between academia and industry through hands-on learning, skill development, and valuable networking opportunities.
Our mission is to empower students with cutting-edge technical expertise, leadership skills, and industry connections. Throughout the year, we organize technical workshops, guest lectures by industry leaders, hands-on projects, competitions, and networking sessions. We also host hackathons, case study competitions, and collaborative research initiatives to cultivate creativity and problem-solving abilities.
Networking is at the heart of our chapter. We host guest lectures, industry visits, and networking events, connecting students with professionals and alumni for mentorship and career guidance. By partnering with industry leaders and alumni, we create pathways to internships and job opportunities, supporting students as they transition into their professional journeys.
Our chapter is guided by Dr. Md Bodruddoza Mia, Professor at the University of Dhaka and a distinguished expert in Remote Sensing and Environmental Geohazards. The leadership team includes Md Abdur Rahim as the Student Chapter Lead and Gazi Redowan Sakib as the Co-Lead, all committed to promoting research collaboration and driving growth in geospatial sciences.
