The ISPRS STEP

The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing STudent and Early Professional (ISPRS STEP) formerly known as ISPRS Student Consortium (ISPRS SC), was established in 2004 during the XX International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS) Congress in Istanbul, Turkey. The ISPRS STEP is the official representation of the students and the youth to ISPRS. The ISPRS STEP works under the Technical Commission V (formerly Technical Commission VI), "Education and Outreach," and collaborates with Working Group V, "Promotion of the Profession to Young People."

The members of the organization are students and young professionals/researchers under the age of 35, who share the same interest in photogrammetry, remote sensing and geospatial information sciences.

The main purpose of the ISPRS STEP is to link students, young researchers and professionals in different countries, who are interested in photogrammetry, remote sensing and spatial information sciences. ISPRS STEP also aims to provide a platform for exchange of information and to organize student-specific events and other activities that integrate students and the youth more effectively into ISPRS activities.
